Postcards from the future

Postcards from the Future is the inaugural exhibition of PoMo, Trondheim’s newmuseum for modern and contemporary art. Opened in the city’s historic formerpost office, the exhibition marks the first presentation of PoMo’s newly establishedpermanent collection, accompanied by prominent loans from national and internationalmuseums and private collections.Inspired by the postcard’s diverse views of the world, the exhibition unfoldsthrough a series of dedicated and thematic artist presentations. Each explores keythemes of our times, such as community, identity, material culture, historiographyand global interconnections. The catalogue is richly illustrated and features texts onthe 24 artists in the exhibition, complemented by new commissioned short storiesby renowned contemporary authors Calla Henkel, Christina Hesselholdt, Erlend Loeand Zeshan Shakar, inspired by the themes and artworks in the exhibition.
