Boken er utgitt i anledning Olav H. Hauges 100-års jubileum, og omhandlar hans liv og virke, med fokus på hans forhold til heimbygda Ulvik. Forfattarane forklarar blant anna korleis mange av Hauges dikt tek utgangspunkt i naturen i og kring Ulvik, og boka inneheld også uprenta dikta, både eigne og omsette.
